Up for sale is a very nice and original German WWII 2nd Pattern Heer Tropical Pith helmet dated 1941. Pith helmets are very iconic of the German, Southern Front and DAK soldier- making these highly collectible!
This particular pith helmet is in good condition, with most of the leather edge trim having torn away, scattered drying, tearing to the chinstrap, and a small dent to the front of the helmet. The piece features both of the original Heer and tri-color shield, the original green finished leather chinstrap, and a size “59” stamp dated “1941”.
The inside is in great condition, with a complete interior and only 1 period repair to the red lining.
