Up for sale a very nice and original German WWII 3 tone Normandy camouflaged M40 helmet, sometimes referred to as a southern front camo. This helmet is absolutely stunning with rich colors, a rare paint variation, a combat history, a named skirt, and a complete liner! The helmet is fully covered with a rich yellow / tan, green and brick red. If this wasnt enough, the camo overpaint also has a mixture woodchips for added texture to the shell.
Looking at the inside of the helmet, the leather liner is near complete condition with its draw string missing. The outer brim of the helmet interestingly shows the original Luftwaffe blue factory finish. Moving towards the rear skirt, we can see that the shell is nicely named to :
