Original German WWII M35 DD Heer Helmet – EX Luftwaffe DD
Up for sale is a very interesting and rare original German WWII Double Decal Heer Helmet with a twist. This M35 originally began its life as a German WWII Double Decal Luftwaffe Helmet, and then re-issued later in the war to Heer. Its got a lot of character and interesting colors as the shell shows some areas of its original factory blue, and re-issued green paint. The German Heer eagle shows some wear and use, luckily with areas of the original Luftwaffe eagle still showing. The German tri-color national shield is very nicely applied also with strong colors and a small sign of the second tri-color shield under. In a sense we could call this a Quadruple Decaled German Helmet!
The inside shell is a matching condition to the exterior with a complete late war pigskin liner and named engravings ! The leather liner is still in very good condition with some signs of use and sweat stains from WWII. The brim of the helmet is engraved :
WHL
Batch Number : 4529
