Up for sale is a beautiful and original German WWII Red Cross dagger (Hewer), with its infamous sawback blade. This dagger is in excellent condition with natural wear throughout the blade and dagger. Still with the original frog, the leather is very soft and was definitely mounted to a belt for a great period of time. On the rear cross guard, its previous owner carved a small swastika on the blank aluminum base which is hard to notice. This piece has not been cleaned in 60+ years and with a little love, can be an eye catcher in any collection!
The reverse ricasso is stamped “Ges. Gesch.”
